Earlier this year members of The Crew traveled to Russia and managed to meet the enigmatic Znadecore duo Throbbing Boris Yeltsin. The two members (who go solely by Nikolai and месть) have been distributing cassettes and CD-Rs with their work contained on them. With the formation of New Gary Standard Recordings (and some prodding from the duo's biggest fan, TH3 1NF4M0US GCAT), the duo have agreed to put their music online for the first time. This release contains three extra tracks never-before-distributed by the duo, along with the 13-minute long industrial vaporwave epic The Five-Year Plan. Contained in this music is a combination of nostalgia, working-class life, and industrial influence reflecting the duo's Soviet upbringing. Their knowledge of musical history spans from hip-hop, to obscure American tape recordings, to classic art-rock pioneers such as Captain Beefheart and Frank Zappa. NGS Recordings is proud to be able to release the duo's first EP.
